Are free on line dating sites better than paid ones?

Do you have a view on whether free or paid sites are better? It seems there is a trend for more sites to be free. Great if you're on a budget.

Good question! In my view the question for me is not how many profiles a site has but the number of active users. I personally prefer paid sites because it implies users are more motivated. That's just my personal point of view. I can certainly see free sites who earn their income in other ways are an important part of the market.
